Today when I was heading to the meadow to plant, I found a swarm. Watch to the end. A good news story! In the end, we were able to catch the queen. My 1st swarm! I'm now officially a bee mama! Many thanks to my wonderful neighbor Penny Angers who is an official swarm queen expert!!!
She's the queen bee!
I used am empty hive box to collect them into...much more work to do as we will inspect and move them to their pallet. Bees are beautiful and their honey sweet. None of us were stung or even threatened. How cool that yesterday was #worldbeeday and today we were blessed from our creator with our 1st swarm of bees!

As requested, here's a tutorial and recipe to create your own asparagus fritatta. Swipe to see the step by step pics. To feed 4
-6 large eggs
- 1/3 cup milk
-1/2 cup crumbled goat cheese
- 1.5 teas Dijon mustard
- pinch salt
- handful thin asparagus
-drizzle of olive oil

Start with an 8x8 pan and parchment paper just a little larger than the pan. Fold per the pics shown, lock in the corners so it fits nicely in the pan. Mix ingredients up to asparagus..pour in pan. Bake 8 minutes or until just starting to firm up. Meanwhile, toss asparagus in oil, season with sea salt and pepper, grill 2-3 minutes. Place asparagus on top of eggs, alternate ends. Bake until puffy and firm 3-5 minutes more. Enjoy!

This smiling face belongs to our dear, sweet Ana! The wonder woman who keeps our rooms sparkling clean AND has stepped up 'to the plate' so to speak to help me with the gardens. She never wavers or balks at impossible tasks like this one...rescuing tulips that are coming up under our new veranda that belongs to the Vineyard Suite's private (2nd entrance). Over 50 bulbs are now rescued and basking in daylight thanks to her tenacious spirit to 'dig right in'...sorry or the pun! (Not really).
